Do you want to turn your technical ideas into a real machine? At DCN Diving, we are looking for an ambitious technical student to take on a unique graduation assignment: developing a new machine for cleaning tubular piles within our Inshore division.

You will have the opportunity to take the lead in the development process. From researching existing solutions and creating the first concept, to developing a detailed design and, if time allows, supporting the construction and testing of the machine. A hands-on project where your technical knowledge, creativity and practical mindset can make a real difference.

Job description

This is what you are going to do:

  • Research existing machines and technologies for cleaning tubular piles
  • Analyse the advantages and disadvantages of existing solutions
  • Define the technical and functional requirements for the new machine
  • Develop a concept design for a brush cleaning machine
  • Evaluate and improve the concept based on practical and technical requirements
  • Develop the concept into a detailed design
  • Create 3D models and technical drawings
  • Select suitable materials and components
  • Consider aspects such as safety, maintenance, usability and manufacturability

If time allows, you may also become involved in the construction and testing of the machine. This could include preparing material orders, communicating with suppliers and supporting the construction process.

What do we ask?

  • You are studying Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a similar technical degree
  • You have an interest in machine design and mechanical engineering
  • You have an affinity with 3D CAD and technical drawings
  • You are able to work independently and take initiative
  • You are curious, analytical and solution-oriented
  • You enjoy combining theoretical knowledge with practical engineering
